Our kaumātua and board member Rore Stafford had his investiture as an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit at Government House in Wellington this week. At the ceremony, Governor-General Dame Patsy Reedy read out the citation which gave an overview of Rore’s work on behalf of the whānau of Wakatū and the Māori community.
We are so proud to see Rore and his wife Lynne recognised in this way. Supporting them at the ceremony were Paul Morgan, Wakatū Board chair, Barney Thomas, Wakatū board member, Kerensa Johnston, Wakatū CEO, and Brandi Hudson, Rore and Lynne’s daughter.
