Tertiary education scholarship

Over many years our scholarships and related programmes have supported hundreds of our whānau members to achieve their goals. We are pleased to announce we are accepting applications for our 2024 Tertiary Education Scholarship. Our scholarships are designed to build our leadership, connecting talented people to our rich cultural heritage and legacy.

We are particularly focused on supporting those studying disciplines related to our businesses, including law, accounting and marketing, and the applied sciences of viticulture and horticulture. Property and project management, Te Reo Māori and Māori economic development are also a priority.

To be eligible for one of our scholarships, you must be a Wakatū shareholder or a descendant of a Wakatū shareholder.

The scholarship provides the successful applicant with financial support for fees and books, up to a maximum of three years, with bonus opportunities for studying Te Reo Māori and achieving academic merit.

Applications for 2025 are open now and close on Friday 20 September 2024.
