Wakatū Incorporation and Kono NZ are pleased to announce the sale of sustainable seafood company Yellow Brick Road, and the successful acquisition by former National Sales Manager, now owner, Martin Bosley.
The seafood provider was purchased by Kono NZ in 2015, and has a reputation as a world class provider of kaimoana to restaurants and customers throughout Aotearoa, earned through its ethos of working with fishers who utilise environmentally friendly fishing methods such as long-lining and being able to trace when, where and how the fish they provide are caught – offering the full bait to plate journey for customers. Ideas that fit with the intergenerational approach of Wakatū Incorporation and Kono NZ, particularly our values of kaitiakitanga (guardianship) and hihiritanga (innovation).

The sale is a part of a consolidation of Kono NZ’s 30-year strategy, Tatai Toru Tekau and both Kono NZ and Wakatū Incorporation will continue to work closely with Yellow Brick Road as one of our partners and as a part of our domestic sales and marketing network. Yellow Brick Road will also continue to work alongside Kono NZ and Wakatū Incorporation staff at the office in Te Whanganui a Tara (Wellington) as part of our whānau whānui (extended whānau).
